Sheet / Pane

Sheets and panes are the flat formats: a printed pane of stamps that stores without curling, counts precisely, and is the easiest format to split into exact quantities for a mailing. Listings here cover sheet and pane packs from 20 to 2,000 stamps, with the cost per stamp at each tier.

Frequently asked questions

What is a pane of stamps?

A pane is a flat sheet of stamps as issued, with a margin that carries the design information and plate numbers.

How many stamps are in a sheet?

It depends on the issue: 20-stamp panes are common, and larger sheets are also issued. Each listing states the stamp count for every pack tier.

Are sheets cheaper per stamp?

At the same total quantity, the largest sheet and pane packs usually reach the lowest cost per stamp of any format.

How should sheets be stored?

Flat and dry, away from humidity. A pane kept flat in a drawer or an archival sleeve will not curl the way a loose handful of stamps can.
